Credit Cards for Microsoft Axapta is integrated into four main areas of Axapta:
1. Sales Orders. Within a sales order, the user can process a credit card transaction before the sales order is invoiced, to ensure that payment is received.
2. CRM Quotations. Within a CRM Quotation, the user can create a credit card "Authorization" so that money can be held before the sale has occurred, allowing sales persons to ensure that when the quotation becomes an order in the Sales Order module, all that is left to do is "Capture" the transaction.
3. Accounts Receivable. Credit Cards for Microsoft Axapta allows both the auto-generation of Accounts Receivable receipts upon the completion of a sales order transaction involving a credit card transaction and the creation of credit card transactions from Accounts Receivable as a means of accepting payment (like a check).
4. Enterprise Portal. With Credit Cards for Microsoft Axapta, companies can accept credit card payment both in Customer Self-Service and in the Customer and Sales Representative roles. As a result, Enterprise Portal's functionality expands in many different ways.
Authorization/Delayed Capture
A company that processes credit cards at the point of sale, yet ship the product at a later date is required to use an "Authorization and Delayed Capture" process that involves putting a "Hold" on the credit card at the time of sale and "Capturing" the final currency amount when the item is shipped.
Red Maple's Credit Cards for Axapta provides this functionality. In fact, you can define when to capture the currency amount:
1. At the time of printing the picking list,
2. At the time of printing the packing slip, or
3. At the time of printing the invoice.
